Educational Shows
Carolina Ballet Theatre has a long tradition of providing a special performance each season that helps introduce the concept of a story told through ballet. These are generally shortened performances that include a brief introductory narrative and end with a Q&A. CBT offers this show at a discounted ticket price for all public and private schools as well as other organizations.
Free Video Access
2020 made this aspect of CBT’s community engagement all the more relevant. Thanks to the incredible production team CBT was able to offer quality access to performances through live streaming and pre-recorded shows. This platform has allowed CBT to reach out to important groups of our community that include the Children’s Hospital and Assisted Living facilities to provide entertainment performed by local artists. Scholarships
Carolina Ballet Theatre is the only professional dance company in Greenville, SC and recognizes the importance of keeping its artists in healthy and peak condition. CBT offers all of its professional dancer’s regular classes to keep them performance ready at no cost to the dancers. In order to keep providing these classes at no charge, we rely on donations and support from our patrons.
Special Performances
Carolina Ballet Theatre strives to be a partner to other non-profits in the Greenville community. Each March, CBT hosts a special performance with other Greenville non-profits being recognized and honored as beneficiaries.
