Carolina Ballet Theatre Brings Back Popular ‘Ghosts’
October 21, 2015
“Ghosts” has proven to be one of Carolina Ballet Theatre’s greatest hits.
The dance troupe has performed this homage to Michael Jackson no fewer than three times in recent years.
This Friday (Oct. 23), the company will offer a 20-minute version of the dance, set to Jackson’s “Thriller” music, at a fundraiser in Mauldin.
“It’s going to be a big party,” said Carolina Ballet Theatre artistic director Hernan Justo.
The event includes heavy hors d’oeuvres, drinks and live music at DanceArts Greenville’s Black Box Theatre. Patrons are encouraged to attend in costume.
Carolina Ballet Theatre will also bring back former principal dancer Sam Chester to lead the ghoulish 18-member ensemble in “Ghost.” Chester is now a freelance dancer living in Charlotte.
