Celebrating Women: Honor Ballet
KROC Center Greenville
April 25, 2019
Join Carolina Ballet Theatre’s company of dancers as they perform Celebrating Women: Honor Ballet. This ballet is dedicated to celebrating women in history.
It is the year of the woman as the dignity, voice, and agency of women everywhere are finally being recognized, cherished, and defended. In a ballet directed by Hernan Justo, Celebrating Women is about commemorating the many causes for awareness during the month of April with special music such as Queen’s “Somebody to Love.” As one of the most expressive forms of art, this ballet paired with contemporary dance will showcase not only the bodies but the souls of a gender that is being heard and seen on a deeper level than ever before.
